Art Education Certification
The Art Education program at CCS is a studio-based Visual Arts Teacher Certification program connected with the BFA degree. While students master their craft, they complete rigorous education and core liberal arts courses. Hands-on teaching experience at our onsite, art- and design-based charter school, University Prep: Art & Design—as well as others throughout Metro Detroit—prepares graduates to teach in Michigan and across the United States.

Digital Fabrication Minor
The Digital Fabrication minor emphasizes the partnership of traditional materials and digital technologies. It consists of a series of 5 classes in which students learn to design and model objects through computer-aided design that can be rendered to photorealistic accuracy.Students will discover how various materials perform in the digital fabrication context, learning the various processes, tooling, and tolerances to translate digital ideas to physical form.

Concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies
In an effort to provide business expertise to our students, CCS has partnered with Walsh College, the area’s premier business school, to offer a set of four courses in business studies. This group of courses, referred to as a “concentration,” is similar to a “minor” but requires fewer courses to complete. Once you’ve finished these courses, a Certificate of Completion will be issued to you and “Business Concentration” will appear on your official transcript.
